Grand Parade:

Philomath Frolic & Rodeo, Inc. would like to invite you to participate in our 57th Annual Grand Parade on July 10th 2010.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: An entry fee of 7.00 is charged per individual entry and an additional charge of 2.00 per extra vehicle. Make checks payable to Philomath Frolic & Rodeo and submit with entry form & release form. Entry fee must be paid prior to or at registration the morning of the parade. (Click here for Entry Form)

RELEASE FORM: Along with the entry form, we have also attached a form releasing the Philomath Frolic & Rodeo Inc., from any liability from negligence on the part of the participant while partaking in the parade. REGISTRATION: Pre-registration is recommended. Mail check, entry form and release form to: Frankie Anderton 2492 Chapel Drive, Philomath OR, 97370 before July 5, 2010. You may register the morning of the parade,(except for horses) but will be placed at the end of the parade line-up. Registration and check-in begins at 7am at the entry to Philomath Middle School (enter off of Chapel Drive). Judging will begin promptly at 9am.

HORSE REGISTRATION: Pre-registration is required prior to parade day. No horse entries will be accepted day of parade. Check in at the registration table located at entry of Philomath Middle School (enter off chapel drive). Judging begins at 9:30 for horse entries. Horse entries will be judged in the east parking lot of the middle school, and proceed to place in line at 10am. Please keep off the grass. Adult must accompany all persons under the age of 9 at all times. All tack must be clean, in good repair and fit properly. Horses must be kept under control at all times or you will be asked to leave parade. Proof of Insurance must be submitted with registration and release form before Saturday morning to parade chair. Insurance must include bodily injury and property liability with combined single limit of 1,000,000 (one million) dollars.

PARADE FORMATION: Enter into Philomath Middle School from Chapel Drive. Check in at registration table. Proceed to designated line up position. Staging will be from the middle school thru the bus lane to Applegate (thru High School parking lot).

PARADE ROUTE: We will head out of the High School parking lot and go west on Applegate to 11th, left on 11th, left into rodeo grounds to disband.

KIDS PARADE: NO PRE-REGISTRATION. The kids parade will assemble in the west parking lot of Philomath High School. Please be in place for judging at 9:45 sharp! Every child receives a participant ribbon and DQ certificate. Judging categories: Use of theme, (Stampede out of the Past), Wheels (bikes,trikes,wagons), Kids with pets, large groups (10+ kids), small groups, jr. individual costume (5 yrs younger), sr. individual costume (6 yrs +). Kids Parade will begin at 10:15am, go west on Applegate to 11th, turn left and disband behind the Philomath Library.

JUDGING: Judging will begin at 9am for the Grand Parade (except horse entries) Those wishing to be judged must be ready at 9am. Please make sure you are on the judges list at registration (entry form has a spot to mark) if you wish to be judged.

PARKING: Parking is available in the east High School parking lot and Clemens Primary School. Please enter Clemens Primary lot off of 19th street, you will not be able to get to the Middle School from 19th street. You will not be able to park on Applegate in front of the High School. Remember to drive slow and watch for children.

GOLDEN RULE: YOU CANNOT THROW CANDY FROM A VEHICLE! YOU MUSTS HAVE WALKERS HANDING OUT ANY CANDY, FLYERS OR STUFF. PLEASE KEEP ANY DEBRIS OUT OF THE STREET WHERE KIDS MIGHT RUN IN FRONT OF A VEHICLE TO GET IT.
