Hello everyone! My name is Sarah McRae and I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to represent both the sport of rodeo and our community as the 2010 Philomath Frolic & Rodeo Queen. The Philomath Frolic & Rodeo has been a long time favorite rodeo of mine, and together with my horse, Barbie, I plan to have a full year of promoting our rodeo all across the state of Oregon.
I am the 21 year old daughter of Mark & Kathy McRae. My family has always been a great support to me, and have been involved in all of my past activities. My parents have instilled the value of being involved in the community ever since I was young. Currently, I am involved in many projects. I am a Junior at Oregon State University and plan to graduate with a Major in General Agriculture, a Minor in Animal Science, and am going to receive a Masters in Agricultureal Education. I also am a 4-H Horse Program Leader and a member of the Benton County Rodeo Association.
My love for rodeo began the first time I watched a performance as a five year old at the Washington County Fair. It wasn't until my junior year in high school that I began my involvement in "the best sport on dirt". I joined the original Benton County 4-H Horse Court in 2005, then went on to become the 2006 Benton County Fair & Rodeo and the 2008 Santiam Canyon Stampede Rodeo Queen.
